Or you could just quit smoking....
None of the natural forces you list are as destructive to Boeing's continued output than the unions are.....
I am banking on it! I'm in that class (and in the video too, unfortunately) With the 737 Max coming online soon too, they'll be hiring quite a few people to ramp up production. They have a backlog of orders 16 years out. There will be plenty of jobs at Boeing for quite a while.
The aerospace industry doesn't quite work that way. Boeing planes are virtually entirely hand-built. In some fields, you're totally correct, but aerospace is still an exception. There's no autoamated assembly lines for commercial aircraft or Saturn V rockets. Even Cessnas and Pipers are still hand-built, one by one.
I feel your pain. I'm in the class at Renton Tech College that she visited. I did my best to stay out of the cameras and away from her and the news folks. It was a waste of a half a day for us students. It was really all about the publicity. She doesn't care what you or I do, and can fund it if she wishes without interfering. I don't like being used a prop for a governor I didn't vote for. I'm happy to represent the school though, they're doing great work.
It's a variant of the Honda Valkrie. Same 1800cc flat four engine in it. It's a LOT of power in that bike. Given the conditions, bike and cause, I'd guess he accelerated too hard on the on-ramp in the rain and lost traction on the rear tire.
Cure debt crisis by creating and encouraging more debt! Makes perfect sense :/
That's a possibility. That's what brought down the flight into the Hudson. Either way, it doesn't sound like Boeing or P&W are culpable. Sounds like someone digging for gold in a bucket of blood.
Most likely culprit for a double engine failure is fuel starvation. Hardly the fault of Boeing or P&W. Too early to speculate of course, but double engine failures are extremely rarely caused by simultaneous mechanical failure. I'd like to see what the black boxes say the fuel readings were.
The state isn't spending money effectively and efficiently? Shocker I tell you! Shocker!
