marriage is a religous institution. It always has been throughout history. Now that being said, the government has no right to deny homosexuals their right to practice their religion any way they see fit. The "gay community" really need to stop trying to be treated differently and accept equality. The First Ammendment of the Constitution is all you need to get married.......read it and see.

sorry about 3 seperate replies but I had to break it up in order to post it.

I support the rights of ALL Americans to live their lives the way they see fit as long as they are within the Constitution. This includes homosexuals having the right to engage in the religous act of marriage (see the First Ammendment of the Constitution if you dont understand that) I am opposed to the illegal un-Constitutional "patriot act" and I oppose the "war" in Iraq and Afghanistan.
I could go on for days about these issues you think I don't care about, but I don't think you'd get it.

As to my caring about the issues, every congressman and senator I have had since I was 15 years old knows my name and face as I regularly pay them visits,call, fax, and email them about these issues you claim I "dont care about". I have been active in my community and my state since I was 13 years old. I am a veteran of the Unisted States Army, an active member of my church, a gun owner, I grow my own vegetables, I hunt, I want to see an end to the "federal reserve" and a return to the Gold Standard, I want my government to be held accountable for their actions while in office, I believe in and stand up for the Constitution, I own what ignorant bigots refer to as a "vicious dog breed" , I pay my mortgage, dont accept welfare, and have never once asked for a handout.

Well darling, Im a union pipefitter and I dont know where you get your misguided information but I have never voted for a democrat ever in my life. And contrary to your post, I do work in the "private sector". I will admit to making the money you mentioned and I do have great benefits. But I also spent 5 years of my life learning my trade as an apprentice through on the job training as well as attending school to learn my trade. So I think I have earned the privilege of making a decent wage. My work ethic, my work attendance, and my work itself has earned me the money. It isnt given to me just because I am a union member. It's given to me because I earn it.
