but without that then peace becomes more bland, unless the changlings themselves have been misinformed to believe they need it to survive. It'd be much more interesting to me if they had to figure out how to make peace with a purely parasitic race. Not to mention that that keeps a more interesting fantasy element to it than simply pure peace talks and negotiation.

I was just mentioning the true blood thing as a possibility, in retrospect it feels more like a cop-out. The main problem with Changlings living on their own is that they need love from an outside source. Changling families and/or groupings can and probably exist, but without some outside source they'll starve. I might've gone a bit far with the description, but I'd still like to see some sort of peaceful reconciliation between the changlings and ponies.

Changlings and Griffons!

I want to see an entire episode dedicated to peace delegations and treaties being signed between Equestria and the Changling Empire. Discussions on how the changlings can be incorporated into normal pony life. Maybe even a True Blood type thing. I've never actually seen that show, but from what I understand it's about vampires incorporating themselves into society because they no longer have to rely on human blood because of a substitute thing. And then a follow up episode following around an average changeling trying to make an honest living in a world full of prejudice because of their past. He desperately tries to hide his nature while avoiding conversations about the news with the treaties and trying to ignore what ponies think of them. Eventually him making friends with some normal ponies, and then they do the thing where the friend (possibly one of the mane 6 like Fluttershy or Rarity) accidentally finds out their true nature, and after being scared for a bit learns to accept it regardless and then do a lesson about how finding out details like that about people doesn't change who they are to you.

And then with the Griffons the Mane 6 could go to the Griffon kingdom and have to learn what it's like living in a completely different culture than they're used to for some time.

And then later on the changling they befriend and a Griffon they befriend could become recurring characters. Like not nearly enough to be considered part of the main cast, but like they could appear in 2-parters when another perspective is needed, or maybe return to them occasionally when a lesson better presented from their perspective is warranted.

So basically I want them to explore more than just Pastel horses. I want to learn more about the world they live in and what the other civilizations are like.

Okay, I'm avoiding reading the synopsis, but I must assume that the plot is... TWILIGHT BECOMES A MAN, THUS SHE/HE CAN RULE OVER HIS REALM AS KING. right?

I don't know, I've stuck with this show for a long time now, but nothing will ever compare to the 17th Doctor on Doctor who. Maybe I'm just getting tired of some of the ongoing story arcs of this show. I mean, you would've thought that the CMC would've figured out their Cutie Marks by now. In retrospect this has been an amazing experience, but I want to get off Mr Bones wild ride.

So what, if the rainbow power thing turns out great and the episodes about it are some of the best the series has had, you will stop watching forever? Then if Season 5 comes and goes and people decide it's the best season of the show since it started, you will continue to avoid watching it?

I'm not saying that will necessarily happen, but to say beforehand when you will quit watching a show, before you even have any info to base that decision on, is some of the stupidest shit I've heard in awhile. And I've been talking to a lot of stupid people today.

I mean hell, this show has episode premises that people like you would never watch the show if you just heard the premise, like "Main character designs dresses for the rest of the cast, then designs more dresses for the rest of the cast," yet some of those episodes are considered the best.

I highly doubt Hasbro will be able to compare to EA's bid for the worst company award this year. They've really come out the gate at a full sprint this time around.

oh ye of little faith, you clearly haven't seen the older MLP movies. You think this was bad marketing? Try this on for size:

The home of all the main characters has been destroyed, not just that, but they can't even return to the general area they used to live ever again. Not to mention that not everyone made it out before the place was overrun. None of the characters have any idea about what they should do and where they should go...

Suddenly some magic guy comes out of nowhere and is all like "I HAVE A NEW HOME FOR YOU!" and everyone immediately forgets about all that shit and literally spends the next 5 min of the movie talking about all the 'cool new features!' of their new home and the various ways they will play with each other in all the different rooms!

Yeah, EQG was tame by comparison.
