I personally found that the amazing Story and Character Developement far outweigh the empty darkness of the game.(=

If the characters in LoZ spoke, they would/should speak Hylian not English(Or whatever the player's local language might be).
Hylian voice-acting would give you all the bonuses of normal voice-acting but it would be MUCH cheaper for Nintendo(not needing different voice-actors for each character in every language), and it wouldn't make anyone really mad because there are pretty much no downsides. (=
(Link should still remain silent though, even with Hylian voice-acting it could still cause a disconnect with the player.)

Not enough Limited Edition copies were sent to my local GameStop, so I have to wait while they try to get some copies shipped from other stores...
They apologized ALOT for the inconvenience and offered to send me home with a normal Skyward Sword while I wait for the Limited Edition to come in, but I don't have a WiiMotion Plus so I sadly had to decline. )=

I think that if there is ever going to be voice-acting in LoZ, it should be completely in Hylian, not in any real language. This way you would be able to hear the voice and emotion of the characters without making anyone really angry, because the characters would still effectively remain silent, while bringing all the benefits of voice-acting. Nintendo already has a complete Hylian alphabet, they just need to put sound to it.
I also believe that voice acting in any real language would somewhat ruin the 'Mythical land of Hyrule' feel. (=

I doubt Nintendo would want to sink that much time and effort into something that is essentially pointless and much less immersive.

I checked, and pretty much all the previous Zelda games got much better reviews from GameSpot. How is it possible that the most worked on Zelda game in Nintendo history, has gotten the lowest score of all?
Gamespot's console Zelda ratings in no particular order.
Twilight Princess: 8.8,
Wind Waker: 9.3,
Ocarina of Time: 10,
Majora's Mask: 8.3.
Skyward Sword: 7.5.
Tom McShea, congratulations, you have ruined your reputation with pretty much the entire Zelda fanbase, and damaged the reputation of GameSpot.. )=
PS: Sorry for making such a long comment, this guy just makes me so dang mad!

I've been playing Skyrim and enjoying the absolute freedom, amazing sidequests (haven't touched on the main quest yet, and I've played maybe 50 hours so far) and hand crafted landscapes(Almost all of Skyrim is built by hand, not generated.),
and as soon as possible, I will be enjoying Skyward Sword with it's amazing story, puzzles, and characters (My Wii is currently broken, so I won't be able to play it on release, which makes me sad... At least I've got Skyrim while I wait. (= )
