No, Glenn ripped him and the Corpse. That Marine NEVER said he wouldn't defend the U.S., and to suggest this Marine could not now be trusted...
Sorry, listened to this myself and the take is correct. Beck FUBARed. He would have been better declining to answer, or to have answered the question asked.

That Marine was polite and sincere and you avoided his question, assumed he meant something other than what he asked and YOU INSULTED THE HONOR OF THE ENTIRE MARINE CORPSE!
Folks, I urge EVERYONE who feels as I do to email the Tea Party folks in San Antonio and urge them to BAN Beck from their Tea Party. I'm going to - right now!

Glenn, read about Neurenburg. "I was following orders" is NOT a defense. The troops MUST know the difference between a lawful and unlawful order. Your response to this Marine was a disgrace. You run your mouth about our founders and you crow about swearing your life and sacred honer, but you have no idea what those words REALLY mean. This Marine does. All of us who wore the eagle, globe and anchor know what honor is.
Glenn, cancel your trip to the Alamo. You have no idea what that was about. You will disgrace the memory of those brave Americans. They put their values before their lives. You put your ratings before yours.

I have to disagree. You might want to read what the founders had to say about democracy. They were not too happy about the idea as they realized it leads to tyrany or anarchy - never a stable society. There is a good reason we were set up as a representative republic. Unfortunately, we lost it, as Franklin feared.

Let's have each State decide if they want to side with those who want socialism and those who want to re-set the Constitution and live under the rule of law. I think this is the best way for us to go now - and we MUST do it before it is too late (if it isn't already).

I do not think it helps to suggest targeted things such as "no more health care for Congress." Rather, I think we should focus on suggestions that will have a more long-lasting reach. Look for things we can get done that will empower those who follow us to continue the reforms we start. Instead of limiting terms or pay, let's limit political contributions. If only real people (not businesses, PACs or lobbiests) can give money to a candidate, and then only to those candidates they can actually vote for in the next election, think of how this one change can and will effect ALL elections in this nation. At the same time, we should do away with public funding. Broad changes such as this should be of more use than simply reacting to current events.
Just my 2 cents.

With respect, President Obama most certainly has committed "high crimes and misdemeanors." He has violated his oath of office and openly attacked the Constitution.
At the same time, anyone thinking we can get him impeached is fooling themselves. They wouldn't impeach Clinton when he was stone-cold guilty; they wont impeach Obama, either. :-(
