When will Eric Dondero just shut up?

Can't they just take a cue from how Jefferson handled the Barbary Pirates--send the Marines to the shores of Tripoli.

And it seems to me, that this is possibly the one single thing that the ineffectual UN could actually do something about. The pirates attack ships without regard to nationality--Iran was hit just a few weeks ago. Could they agree under the UN banner to send in a military force to stop this.?If they can't do that then there is no question the organization should be shut down.
