Seriously. I hope they change it up too, but with the track record here in the West it's not all that likely. That, and the MLP theme is so iconic anyways that if they did change the theme it would still just be another remixed version of the same thing (though I'd still rather have that than nothing new at all).

Well, as I've already said in my other replies, my idea of the topic (and it is my idea, nothing more) is based on what I've read, seen, heard, and just generally experienced. Maybe it is a straw feminist, but if it is then all of the components were given to me by the feminists I've talked to and/or seen talking to people.

Personally, I think it's great if a man wants to take on the "stay at home" role. I also think it's great if the woman wants to take on that same role. However, from what I've gathered, feminists are for the male filling that role, but if a woman does it then that woman is seen as weak by following negative gender stereotypes. That doesn't seem very equal to me, but maybe I'm missing something.

Also, in regards to your last comment, why is it any different if a group of well educated males define something than a group of well educated females, or a group of both? Up until very recently, the legal definition of rape made it impossible for a guy to be raped (or a girl to be raped by another girl, I believe). It was a bad definition, but at the least it mostly protected girls (and it was made by a bunch of guys).

About what you can do with your body, I'm assuming you're talking about abortion, but maybe not, so I think I'm going to stop here before things swing way off topic or I bring up something unnecessary. That, and I really need to get some sleep as it is now nearly 4am where I live.

My claim comes largely from my own experiences (meaning real life or short conversations online). It's quite possible that I've just met (or chatted with) some very radical (and maybe even similarly misinformed) people, but what I wrote isn't something I just randomly pulled out of an Acme crate.

I agree that from what I've read about feminism, you would be correct (though there are still things I don't totally agree with). However, my personal experience with encountering feminists, both around the net and in real life, is that they tend towards the radical. Though it is entirely possible that I've just been unfortunate enough to encounter the worst of the bunch (on both sides, for and against) and it has colored my perception rather strongly.

I might be opening a can of worms here, but here goes. Real feminists aren't really for equality, but rather vehemently against male superiority (which they believe all men partake in on some level). The difference being that instead of saying both men and women should have the right to do something, they believe men should be completely removed as the majority (to become the minority) and be replaced by women. That's a rather simplified version, but yeah. Hopefully that makes sense = |

I'm more for equality myself, as I think it makes way more sense.

Well, I suppose that does technically answer my question, though it wasn't the answer I was expecting.

Unfortunately, since I don't know what it is you actually do (though I think I have a pretty good idea), I have no way to try it out, and no way to say whether or not I will in fact like it.

Wait... By work for yourself do you mean start your own business? Or do you mean work so that you can be happy, or don't work purely for money, or something like that? Because if it's the former, I feel like that doesn't really make things any easier (or more profitable). In most cases I think it just makes things harder, and you poorer (not that it can't be done or shouldn't be attempted of course).

That's an interesting quote, I'll have to keep it in mind.

Just thought I'd point out that music and sound is really just the other half of what makes a film a film. Even with silent films, it was pretty common (almost standard I think) to have music playing along with the showing (though back then it was live music as opposed to recorded stuff of course).

Poor sound. It never gets the love it deserves. It always makes me happy when I see folks like you, who actually care about the aural aspect of things :)
