HR 2749: Totalitarian Control of the Food Supply

A new food safety bill is on the fast track in Congress-HR 2749, the Food Safety Enhancement Act of 2009. The bill needs to be stopped.

HR 2749 gives FDA tremendous power while significantly diminishing existing judicial restraints on actions taken by the agency. The bill would impose a one-size-fits-all regulatory scheme on small farms and local artisanal producers; and it would disproportionately impact their operations for the worse.

HR 2749 does not address underlying causes of food safety problems such as industrial agriculture practices and the consolidation of our food supply. The industrial food system and food imports are badly in need of effective regulation, but the bill does not specifically direct regulation or resources to these areas.

You are exactly correct. We are to PRAY. When two or more are gathered together in prayer, God will be also and he will hear our prayers and our petition will be granted. Prayer is the most powerful weapon we have against evil. VERY POWERFUL. We never go into battle without prayer. In fact, prayer IS THE BATTLE. I say, begin the battle now by using our churches to PRAY, let the battle begin in our churches. Let us fast and pray. Dedicate a week of fasting and praying ALL OVER AMERICA. Beginning a certain time - you say when or let's all talk to our pastors and fellow Christians. See what happens when we do this. Let's do it TUESDAY. Let's do it BEFORE THE HEALTHCARE VOTE. See what happens! Make believers out of these people who say this is nonsense. DARE anyone to say the Christian Conservatives are powerless in America. We may have been because we were not using our ARMOUR. Let us then study each piece of the armor of God, so that we might stand firm in the battles of life.

Do you think for one millisecond that Christians in America are going to "let" anyone take their children? I beg to differ with anyone who thinks that is going to happen. I don't care what the law says. We live by a higher law. We are told to render unto Caesar what is his. But we live by God's law. And his law does NOT tell us to give our children to evil. We are to flee from evil. And we should all be praying now for protection for our country, for our fellow Americans and for our families and our fellow Christians. We should be praying for the Holy Spirit to guide us. We will NOT be told to give our children to the government or they will not be taken from us if we do this.

No "America" has NOT been trying to remove God from every corner of public life. Atheists and those who feel threatened by God have done so and we Christians HAVE STOOD BY AND LET THEM DO SO. This was wrong for us to do. We never should have let this happen to this country because we should have claimed victory over this situation and shut these people down from the beginning. But some Christians believe that being "meek" is the right thing to do but clearly God does NOT want us to do that. And now we are learning a lesson from that.

Satan has tried to stop Jesus, he tried to stop the Apostles and he has tried to stop the message of salvation for over 2,000 years. He has tried to destroy the Bible. He has tried to destroy our faith, our belief in God. He has caused sickness, death and destruction. The Bible says Satan comes to "kill, steal and destroy." We know (as Christians who put our faith and hope in Jesus) that we can always depend upon our Lord to provide for us in the most dark times of our lives and we can we happy on the best days of our lives because we know all good things are gifts from God. Our hope is in God.
Those who do not have a relationship (I said a RELATIONSHIP) with God do not understand. And what someone does not understand, they fear or mock or try to destroy.
