They say this bill is supposed to cut CO2 emissions. Since every time we breathe we emit CO2, the next thing will be that we can only breathe for so many minutes a day. And then we will be taxed if we dare to breathe over our limit. Total insanity!!!!!!

I live in St. Louis & he took the sign down because Carnahan agreed to meet with him. McArthur had to go to Carnahan's local office & did not meet personally with him, he talked to one of his lackeys. I think he pretty much got the run around. The normal "it'll be good for everyone" speech. I wouldn't be surprised if the sign goes back up. He said since the story he had gotten many e-mails from other small business owners & he mentioned getting a group of them together & going to the state capitol to Carnahan's office to see him personally. He's not one to give up, they have him on the radio here all the time. Good luck to him.

I watched Fox News all day today & was appalled that there was no mention of the 1300 teaparties going on all across the country. It was very frustrating. That is what this day is all about - independence & fighting to keep the freedoms our founders gave us & many have died defending. I got so mad, I sent a "shame on you" e-mail to Fox News. The only mention I saw was on one of the morning financial shows, I believe Terry Keenan's Cashin' In, where she said the original teapartiers actually had it right & then mentioned the 1300 parties on the 4th. That was it.

I just e-mailed my rep:
Dear Congressman Akin,
First I want to thank you for your vote against the Cap & Trade Bill. Hopefully a few more will see the light & change their vote before Friday.
Secondly, may I suggest that an amendment be added to any healthcare bill comes up that states that the president, his family & all in Congress will have to participate in the same healthcare system that we will have to. What's good for the people, should be good enough for all in Washington who are representing us. Right? We'll see how many vote for that.
Keep up the good work you do for us.

If national healthcare goes through, people from other countries might as well stay home. Our system will be the same as their's. They will be standing in line right behind us.

I only meant that is what the teapartiers are called by the left wing & I have never heard Obama say anything different or come out and defend us. This administration is trying to change the constitution if not do away with it altogether.
