So funny -- a lot of us are probably doing something similar. I got all nervous and excited today when I got a call from an unknown area code on my cell phone. It was only a credit card solicitation :( The moment of not knowing was very exciting though.
It's pointed out in another posting that the vehicle is usually included in the ambush, which indicates that color and options are previously determined. Hope it's a color that you like!
Thanks so much for the Super Fan double feature! It sort of lessens the blow of it all ending. The addition of John was fun -- he's so cute. If my husband or I win, the ski weekend invitation is extended -- that's a promise (with room for 10 more!). Thanks for all the information, creativity, entertainment, and work that made this contest much more than a contest. I'll miss you all.
Although I don't have time to go back and check, I really believe that either on the TV special or one of the online videos, it's shown that the toilet stalls have changing room in them. So maybe your worries are over!
I agree with you that Stowe is such a special place. Years ago, I very luckily was sent to Smuggler's Notch for a job seminar during the first week of October. I became smitten forever. I even married and honeymooned in Stowe. The HGTV ads are right about the house being a place for all four seasons. I think the dorm design is brilliant. Having a house in a destination location is a friend and family magnet, which for many (including us) is the best thing imaginable. One dorm is so much more practical than an additional four bedrooms. I really cannot find one thing about which to criticize the house. For its location, it's perfection.
Hi everyone, From its first unveiling, I never suspected that the ski dorm could be intended for youth only. Its design so fits the spirit of a ski holiday. What a luxury it would be to have that kind of accommodations to offer guests. I think I would be tempted to forgo the comforts of the master suite and join the party in the dorm!
Today, as I regaled my teenage daughter with DH details, I realized that every DH contest is a learning experience. We learn much about the regions, their architectures, design styles, communities, recreations, lifestyles, local products, etc. Even though we are familiar with Stowe (my husband and I were married there), we're finding out new things. It's discovery done in a very fun way!
Hi everyone! I'm not sure if this has already been discussed -- I wish I had time to read all the comments. Not only is Stowe a wonderful place (my husband and I were married and honeymooned there), but also Stowe is a healthy place. As of my last visit this past fall, there are no fast food restaurants in Stowe. There seem to be very few in the entire state. The food offerings are excellent and diverse, but since I live in the Midwest, the absence of fast food seems surprising. People as a whole actually look more fit. There are also fewer elevators. Places to hike are everywhere though. Perhaps winning the DH may also extend the lucky winner's life! :-)
