This is one of the best comics of the 90's. It is epic in nature and full of self contained episodes that, though I am not finished the series yet, are rich enough for several excellent episodes. Mendes seems like a good choice for what will have to be an R rated movie full of cursing, vampires and hillbillies. I can't f**king wait..
This guy once went by the name "the Rock". Captain Nemo is supposed to be a scientific genius who builds a futuristic submarine. No way. Count me out.
I gotta give respect to the man for writing 20 pages about something that in no way affects his career. Superman Returns was a quality movie witha veiled comparrison between Superman and Jesus (which might be why Smith didn't like it) I thought Routh was great .
I can't wait for Inglorious Basterds. I'm more excited for Avatar because of all of the good press it has gotten so far but I can't wait for this movie, especially because he has been working on it for so long.
Phew, when I read "returning to the big screen" I thought it meant she was going to act again.
Does the Robocop vision have something to do with the movie or is it from the scan?
I don't think a musical can be included in a list like this because there have always been musicals and they are actually less popular now than they once were despite their recent resurrection.
I would have included Lord of the Rings in terms of cultural influence and I'll be the first to add Dark Knight. It has done a lot for comics, comic book movies and fanboys, though it is still early to tell its longterm impact. Very good list though.
Have you got a past twenty five years list in you?
I posted this as a reply but it didn't show up so I will repost. I noticed a lot of people debating Star Wars' inclusion on the list. The kist is not of the most important movies ever made but of the most influential in film and culture. First, the cultural impact the movie is probably greater than any film ever made. As for what it did for movies, well....it revolutionized special effects, transformed the idea of what blockbusters could achieve, helped recreate an interest in Sci-Fi, opened the doors of movie merchandising and was one of the first movies to bend genre standards. It, without a doubt, deserves a spot on this list.

Wow. This looks amazing and a big departure from Brick. I assumed his next movie after Brick would never hold up, it looks like I am going to have to eat my words. Can't wait.
