What a load of crock. 2006 was the warmest year on record (http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2007/01/09/AR2007010901949.html) and 2007 was the second warmest. Look it up! Which "climatologists" are claiming the earth is cooling? A bunch of climate change deniers funded by oil and gas companies? Give it a rest.

Please read "Twenty Years Later: Tipping Points Near" http://www.huffingtonpost.com/dr-james-hansen/twenty-years-later-tippin_b_108766.html

"Warming so far, about two degrees Fahrenheit over land areas, seems almost innocuous, being less than day-to-day weather fluctuations. But more warming is already "in the pipeline," delayed only by the great inertia of the world ocean. And climate is nearing dangerous tipping points. Elements of a "perfect storm," a global cataclysm, are assembled.
[snip]
The shocking conclusion, documented in a paper2 I have written with several of the world's leading climate experts, is that the safe level of atmospheric carbon dioxide is no more than 350 ppm (parts per million), and it may be less. Carbon dioxide amount is already 385 ppm and rising about 2 ppm per year. Shocking corollary: the oft-stated goal to keep global warming less than two degrees Celsius (3.6 degrees Fahrenheit) is a recipe for global disaster, not salvation."

P-E Obama has consistently said that he's in favor of helping the auto industry. He's made it clear that we can't afford for them to fail especially in this current economic environment; however, he's not yet President and that's the extent of his power: expressing his opinion and stating what he will do once he's in office. I'm not sure what else you want him to do. I hope you're writing the current White House occupant to let him know how disappointed you are that HE's not doing anything to "help the domestic autos." Do you have something more meaningful, more positive to contribute besided calling our newly elected President names and making empty threats? We won't get anywhere with attitude like yours.

The sky-rocketing copays on doctors' visits and on prescription drugs! I am also concerned about the quality of care for our veterans. They deserve the best quality healthcare available without all the red tape and length of time it takes for them to get the care they need.
