Nothing like our legal system to have the get rich quick scheme for anyone who wants one. Heck, I bet if he advertised a job saying I'll give you 50K to let me talk about your boobs a few times the line would be out the corner and 4 blocks long.

Seems like a lot of money for a few sentences.

Too true. Most likely this school district is in a poor neighborhood filled with broken homes, and single parent providers that either don't care or have the means to provide a stable home and proper supervision. Still, I think the unions and teachers are also to blame.

I knew what he meant - that the unions are extorting high wages and driving the schools as opposed to teachers doing what they should. Anything that shakes up this system is a good thing. Maybe there will be some good that comes of it and changes are made to have wages reflect the private market and students learn.
