If you had cydia, maybe your shshs blobs are saved, and you can restore to 4.0.1, give it a try.

Yes, also if you have your SHSH blobs saved on cydia's server, you won't have any problem restoring to any firmware ala 4.0, 4.01; if you don't you can only restore to 4.0.2, and =>3.1.3.

I thought that international sms's thing was only for people who bought their iPhone's in US, but using it in other countries, not inside US, i'll do my research; and let's hope that 4.1 has the option for only-email activation, let's wait to see what 4.1 GM brings.

Yeph, but remember "Once Jailbroken, Always Jailbroken" this means that if you have a Jaillbroken iPad right now, there's a chance to jailbreak when 4.2 comes out, so don't update !
