Budget post 2-We need local contact people in each state to help coordinate this. We also should encourage people to become part of the 912 project and to end their letter to their rep with the statement that we are all part of the 912 project. That is how we will become our own lobbyist group and a group they will have to contend with. The elections are 2 years away. If we become a big enough group that the 912project endorsement is something candiates want we can change our governement for the better. I would encourage everyone to really make getting the budget word out and to email EVERY DAY while Congress is debating this. It would be a major victory for the 912 project if we can influence this outcome a a group.

Budget post 1Budget post 1-I just heard on Fox news that Obama's 2010 budget will either cost each family (or the amount allocated by the number of families comes out to) $32,000 a year and that he is organizing a grass roots effort to go door to door to encourage people to tell their representative to vote for his budget. Here is our problem. He is a great community organizer, that' s how he got elected and how he continues to get his riduculous policies passed. He goes to those who will gain the most and pay the lest for his programs and gets them to do what he asks. Unfortuantely he is very charismatic. We need to be as organized. Whether we email everyone in our address books or we speak to everyone we come in contact with we have to encourage people that their voice does count and that they need to contact their representative to vote against the budget.

Article V of the Constitution allows for amendments to also be made if 2/3 of the State legislatures call for a Convention to propose the amendment and then the amendment is ratified by 3/4 of all the states. It is a safeguard to protect against abuses from the Washington Elite. If we could organize on a State level, it would take a massive effort of time and money but it would bypass the bozos in Washington.

I am from NC also. Is there a way to locate who is from our area so we can get some grass roots things happening at a local level? We are in Kannapolis. I am not computer savvy, does anyone know how tough it would be to set up one of those locate by zip code that most store websites have? We could hook up by zip code within a 25 mile radius or something.

I agree. I think we need to email our representatives whenever there is a vote on legislation or we hear something on the news that they are planning to do. I also think we should sign each piece of correspondence at the end with the 912project lego,letting them know how many of us there are. Then not only are we an individual but a massive group that must be listened to.
