I've also never heard of a coyote going after a stick.... are they sure it wasn't a feral dog? Especially since folks like to dump their pets by places that get human traffic, like parks and farms, etc.??
I have the feeling this bunch is well known to LE already, and are all poster children for the early intervention program - which clearly does not work. Community Service in the hot summer sun doing something important w/ a toothbrush & cleaning public roads or sidewalks at minimum of 100 hours each, would be a great start. Fine their parents for the damages to the Albertsons.
What about placing the blame for this sort of thing where it belongs: on the people who did it. Not the train, not the bus, the people. Hold them accountable as it's not acceptable to act this way in public.
Stupid is as stupid does.
There is just no excuse for this sort of thing to be happening, other than laziness and inattention on the part of the parent(s). I really don't want to hear what the excuse was anymore, cause I just don't buy it. Get a clue or don't have children as this time IT IS YOUR FAULT. Put the blame where it belongs.
So, it wasn't really the cat - it was a flea on the cat, and probably one of many that are now all over the place around his property. And on other animals. Is that being dealt with before it spreads?
Yep, gotta agree with the post from SWWRS. We, over here in WA County, are pretty proud of our local Law Enforcement men and women and it does them a great disservice to paint them in such a light. Shame on you, Oregonian!
A good conclusion, for once, out of many different not so fine possible outcomes. Good for you girl! Now dump this swine as you can do better. Thanks LE for scooping him up; perhaps you can offer this gal suggestions as to how she can sucessfully continue her quest for a better life.
Twits. The darn thing floated here, over a period of a year and a few months. Do you really think all the non-native critters waited 'till it beached to become a threat to the native species? How about the size of that dock; you all don't figure it "bumped" into things on the way here? And you all are the experts? Hello! There are sure to be larger items on the way, and they'll be covered with "non-native" species too. You need a better plan for the non-living chunks, and need to accept the fact this is how the planet works in spreading diversity - I think that's been covered in quite a few books, and it's been going on for quite some time.
Probably would have been fine if it'd been tomato plants, but children? WTH?
