Kickass. You certainly nailed that one. That is the ONE thing that no one can say bad about the past 8 years. We WERE safe.
You rock KMBR!

There were things that Bush did that were policy issues that many of us disagreed with, but one can't deny the fact that Bush was an effective President who was able to get things done with a nearly 50/50 Senate. No supermajorities then, and the opposing party on Capitol Hill never forgot the bitter 2000 election, nor did the media. Despite all that, and a series of domestic disasters both man made and natural unlike anything any other President in history faced, Bush and his administration managed to keep Americans with a sense of safety at home. As I said, I disagreed with Bush on more than I agreed with him, I never did, and still don't think Bush was a bad person or evil

On the other hand, the slimeball that took his place is evil. I believe mr. obama received campaign funds from every sort of radical interest group known to man. I believe mr. obama was telling the truth when he said in his book that he would favor Muslim jihadists over "the west".
I also believe that when mr. obama said he sat an that racist church for 20 years and never heard anything that offended him, he told the truth. I don't think Rev Wright ever said anything that offended mr. obama. I think and fear that Obama will try to utilize some major catastrophic event (that he will be involved in) to try to make himself "dictator" before he can be voted out in 2012. As far as ethics go, I believe mr. obama lands right between Roman emperor Nero and Chairman Mao. Is that evil enough for you?
In my book I would put him between Hugo Chavez and Mussolini. But I agree.
Read up on Nero. I'm not talking about his personal life but how he governed Rome. He deliberately (in my opinion) burned Rome so he could build himself a palace. (Imminent Domain) Nero taxed Rome dry and left what had been a massive state treasury totally empty (stimulus bills for croneys). He did this through total waste. Then, anyone who he viewed as opposition were usually bathed in oil and used for street lamps. These are just a few details but the more I watch Obama and look at history, the closer he gets to Nero all the time.
I agree. Bush had a mountain of flaws but history will be kind to him in retrospect to his handing of the WOT and 9/11 -- I guess that is assuming we ultimately prevail and today I am feeling optimistic. Tomorrow that could change.
Exactly. I makes them crazy on the left. I've recently read now that they are trying to claim that the anthrax attacks were never solved as some sort of rebuttal to this.

Thanks. (:

Liberalism is a mental problem. No doubt about it.
So is alcoholism but both are self caused and influenced by external factors. Liberalism is self laziness by choice brought on by poor and dishonest education. Alcoholism is brought about be readily available alcohol and the decision to start drinking. How many alcoholics wish they had never taken that first drink? How many liberal Californians (for example) wish they could find a job but for the fact that open borders and insane regulations from the liberal agenda have choked off the job market? I have heard others call liberalism a "mental disorder" or "illness/desease" and I don't buy it. Look at how many people have changed their minds on healthcare and climate change when they realize they will have to fork over their money to help pay. I think liberalism is more about misinformation than mental illness
Andrew, well stated. My father is a drug abuser and a drunk and was told by the "educated class" that I will be because it's in my genetic makeup, however, I counter with one argument that I've kept to this day: never to start. As for a Job here in insane CA, I've about given up because there's not much hope for a 40+ white male to get one here.
As for Bush, he was mainly a RINO and most likely go down as one of the 5 worse presidents, but he did do three things right: lowered taxes, picked conservative justices (imagine if Kerry won, the libs would have control of all 3 branches), and was strong on national security. During his terms we only got hit once and it was mainly Clinton's failures and his lawyers who neutred Able Danger which would had prevented 9-11 and under BO we've been hit 6 times (counting Fort hood) and we still have 2 weeks left of his first year. What should worry us is the attacks are getting more bold and brazen as BO's jellyfish spine become more and more transparent. Can we survive 3 more years of this, much less 8 should all hell break loose in 2012 (well according to the Myans, we won't be here anyways)
