Make It MAD : This Ship Is Sinking and I'm Going Down Swinging (Redux)

Congratulations on writing another fabulous post and under fifteen minutes no less! I came across this poem years ago and have found solace an understanding in it many times. Thought you might like it, too. One by one He took them from me, All the things I valued most, Until I was empty-handed; Every glittering toy was lost. And I walked earth's highways, grieving. In my rags and poverty. Till I heard His voice inviting, "Lift your empty hands to Me!" So I held my hand toward heaven, And He filled them with a store Of His own transcendent riches, Till they could contain no more. And at last I comprehended With my stupid mind and dull, That God COULD not pour His riches Into hands already full. -Martha Snell Nicholson You are completely right. God is not taking things away from you. He is getting rid of the superfluous stuff (that may not seem so superfluous at the moment) in order to make room in your life for the really good stuff. Stay the course and you will be amazed :)
