I could never make this in my house unless I planned to eat the whole thing (hubs would revolt - he loves traditional baklava) but wow...that probably wouldn't be too hard to do! What a lovely, delicious treat!

They are lovely! One cool thing I've discovered from baking for dairy-free people is that Ghirardelli's semisweet chocolate chips are naturally dairy free and they are wonderful! A little more expensive but good quality too. Do you think that I could use tapioca flour instead of the potato starch? The same dairy free people are also nightshade veg-free b/c of one of the sons has a bad reaction to them so they all try to eat the same way to make it easier.

Here is my awesome blog comment! lol. I would love to give this cookbook to a friend as a Christmas gift. It's going to be a lean Christmas for us and I know she'd love this cookbook.

They're so pretty! I got a little weirded out by the chili until you pointed out that these are corn"bread" after all...so I dig it. :)

I love to make things at home from scratch too, things you'd normall purchase, like crackers. But it is a lot of extra work! I made some cheese crackers and had the same experience of them being too soft--I bet to get them hard you'd need to use powdered cheese and if that's the case, I guess we may as well just buy the dang crackers. LOL! They do look very pretty and I like the flaky texture inside. I'm so glad to be back in group C with you!!

It's been a while since I read the Twilight series but I liked it! If you haven't read the Hunger Games series, that is good too and not as cheesy. :) Here's some more of my faves: Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy (comedy sci-fi), The Help, The Guernsey Literary and Sweet Potato Peel Pie Society, Uncle Tom's Cabin (though it made me cry a lot), The City of Ember, From Black Heel's to Tractor Wheels (PW's love story-it is clean & funny). Room is very good but also disturbing and will keep you on the edge of your seat through a good part of it. And please if you have never read Anne of Green Gables get on that NOW!

LOL! My husband always says it's time to stop eating pineapple when your tongue starts bleeding. I read the ways to lessen the effects to ti and he didn't like any of them so he shrugged and said, "I'll probably just keep going by my bleeding tongue gauge to know when to stop." lol!

Aw, but who is the little girl at the end? She gets no credit! Anyway, love Nemo's tutorial--this way is so much better than the Wilton way b/c you can do it with ONE tip instead of two. I love the look of her roses-I gotta try this!! Thanks for creating and sharing this.
