Awesome! I love the photo of your family walking together, very cute. :-) I never worry too much about heeling either. Since Shiva just walks faster than I do, as long as she isn't tugging at the leash I don't mind if she is a little bit ahead or sniffing the grass. She will heel if I need her to but I don't think it's necessary - or much fun - for her to do it the entire walk.

It sounds to me like you kicked this challenge's ass! Pilates totally counts. That is not easy! After all, our dogs are already in pretty decent shape, right? At least, that's my excuse for wimping out just because I did the run last weekend. :-P It had nothing to do with Shiva but it left me too flagged to run with her. Oh well. Maybe next week?

What a perfect place to go hiking! That is adorable! It's too bad the trail is so grueling but you are right that the view is definitely worth it. Now I feel even more guilty for wimping out on this week's challenge. What's a few stairs in comparison with teapots? Sad. I'm going to need to step it up!

I can't believe Desmond is actually overweight as he still looks fairly thin to me and really no heavier than my dog who everyone thinks is starving to death. It just shows that appearances don't necessarily mean a thing.

First, the collar looks fantastic! Yay! I am so glad you found one that suited him.

Second... I have never heard of such an issue and I am so sorry I can't offer any advice. Was the vet helpful at all? Shiva actually did not drink much water when she first came to live with us and was almost afraid to go near the bowl at all. But we just figured she'd drink when she was thirsty and left her to her own devices. Now she drinks whenever she needs to and doesn't hesitate to drool the remainder on the floor. :-P

I hope you are able to help poor Desmond end his puking! That really sucks.

I keep meaning to try something like this in the summer months as I am sure they are tasty and help cool a dog down. Not to mention, they sound super-easy to make!
