May 5 is an important date in AMERICAN history as it marked some important endings in Wrold War II and the United States was in that war. This is a nation that people and their ancestors have come from other countries. Cinco De Mayo was a disagreement between France and Mexico. What would this country be acknowledging every other country and its wars with the countries they had wars with. We would have never come together as a country had this gone on. Could you imagine? That seems pretty simple to me. This is racist all right against those of French origin. We don't see those hailing from other countries doing this so publically. We would jsut be a culture celebrating our ancestors and differences that were had with other countries. This is America.
