The most fun part of expecting a child is wondering what it will be and when the doctor announces what it is after all the anticipation.

I understand "uncanny valley". If I had a realistic-looking robot sitting across from me and not doing anything I'd imagine it coming to life and jumping up at me, even though I know better. That's why ventriloquist dummies can make me uneasy. Even though they aren't realistic-looking and I know they aren't alive, just because they have eyes and someone could make it look like they're talking and moving their head I imagine them doing it on their own.
yes, I need help.

Lately, Facebook has taken the brunt (is that the word I want to use?) of all the cases against privacy. There are 2 types of FB users-those that want to have as many friends as possible and those that just want another way to connect with people they know (like me).
There are settings. If you don't adjust them to who can see your pics and posts, then all the friends that you have that you don't know in real life will see them.
Even people you know in real life will see embarrassing pictures. You can't post things and then say, "Bad Facebook! Naughty!". It's not Facebook, it's what you did. Quit blaming Facebook. I've reconnected with friends and relatives that I haven't seen in 20+ years. I love it.

But all that's moot once it's in a landfill. I've been trying to tell treehuggers for years about landfills being airtight and preventing everything in it from biodegrading properly.

Are you people are saying that since Hitler and all leaders that just gave the orders and didn't do the killings shouldn't be on the list? I think just the fact that they gave the orders make them evil.

How is the daughter's sleep-over a moral dilemma? It's not a case like if the boy doesn't stay the night the daughter dies, but you don't believe it's "right" and goes against your morals.
If you say "NO" then it's "NO". If you don't want a boy over overnight, then tell her "NO" and don't worry about "being unfair to her". Kids always want to do things you don't want them to do and you don't need to worry about being "fair" to them. I think this is a case of "I don't want my kids mad at me". I don't care if times have changed-if you don't want a boy to spend the night then say "NO". It's ok to use that word. :)

What does "pleasantly itching" (#5) mean?
I'll never be a drug addict. I've had numerous surgeries throughout my life and I've had very bad side effects from every pain killer prescribed to me. Even Oxycodone was not even close to being as pleasant as described here. Don't get me started on Vicodan! Or codeine. Or many others.
