The National Biscuit Company had been known as NBC up until the 50s or 60s when it was changed to Nabisco to avoid confusion with the network. There is one other example. The Warner's lingerie company used to be known as Warner Brothers and often used the WB initials. Now they change it to Warner's to avoid confusion with the Warner Brothers movie studio.

I don't remember the exact names of the politicians who were the two boobs, I just substituted Carter and Ford for them. Another Carson moment was when Ed asked Father Time (Carson) about the performance of the Carter Administration in 1977. Father Time answered, "Tampa Bay won two more than he did." He made so many jokes about the 1976-77 Buccaneers, that one sign in Tampa Stadium said, "Sack Johnny Carson."
