Kyera just got me into a book she's reading by Ann Voskamp - One Thousand Gifts. The interesting thing she said that led me to buying it is: "It's like she doesn't have it all figured out like the well-known theologians, you know, Tozer, and them guys. It's as if she's on the journey and telling it like it is."

It used to be Trix, Lucky Charms, or Apple Jacks but the last grocery run I got a big, boring, box of Cheerios. Although I did get a bag of Wavy Lays too. . . LOL.

It happened on March 31 and still amazes me that a single mom like me who's rented and moved her daughter fifteen times — including changing continents — living from paycheck to paycheck, and who's never dreamed of owning a home, would actually become a homeowner because of the amazing favor of God. From the $ 100 earnest money to the down payment government grant, God blew my mind by giving me and my daughter something we never imagined — our very own home.

I've always felt our very breath is a gift from God; everything else is icing on the cake.

So humbled and grateful for this icing.

It's just one of those days/weeks/seasons, Lindsey. :-)

I personally reach for chocolate anything to pull me through. (That and doing a David by commanding my soul...)

Remember, it gets harder before it gets easier and then the surprise of "beyond what we expected" hits. That's the amazing part!
