There is another option on lurkers. SAHM, with limpet babies, who can only read blogs standing up swaying back and forth with the hope that said baby will fall asleep. _
_OH love the halloween stuff. I haven't broken the news to my 3 year old that japan doesn't do trick or treat and have actually extended my stay in the UK just so we can have a bit of halloween :)

HAR HAR i haven't even bothered with a blog roll yet. BUT i did state that I only started the dam thing so that I could comment. i like reading other peoples' thoughts, and as I have yet to unlock my ESP powers, i indulge, by reading their blogs. OH and i disagree, I think you can be outside of japan and still comment/ write about it. I am not in japan but feel completely justified in talking about it and slagging it off if i want to, freedom of speech and all that, so there! (blows raspberry) .

i am in the USA( still one month to go) and have found the kids here really well behaved and nice. it might just be the circles I keep but for 3 years all kids I have met have been great.
When we were in japan my husband would work very late and sometimes sat. why? so he could get on and do his job without interuption and the commute home was shorter.
In the USA he still works late but it is not as common and on a more reasonable timeframe.
Yes japanese do get more holiday than the usa but they NEVER take it. Atleast not my man!
The fact that people don't want to leave japan is really based on what area they are in the company. The more contact the employees have with outside companies the more they employees are interested in working abroad. Part of the problem is the fear on the unknown.

HAR love the camera. I have had roommates that have done terrible fraudulent things. One did bank fraud various times and now works in a bank !! (lentil shakes her head in disbelief)

I am not sure why but your blog has me laughing every morning. I think it is because your approach to life is very different to mine and we live in very different worlds. Yet again on other more serious posts I can see through to your humanity and moral code. I think today the graphic of 'haters suck my dick' makes me burst out laughing even though part of me should be offended.....

Where the hell did you get a whole pig and the size of that meat!!! I was happy to find a whole chicken in the supermarket. Ohh and my husband wants to study english at your school if there is a prospect of chunks of meat. I am sure you would find a few Volunteers if you did a pig again. Kiddie porn is just so fucking wrong end of no debate. as a parent I worry. I used to work in an big eikaiwa school and the parents could see in to the classroom ( annoying as a teacher but understandable). I only ever met one teacher where the little alarm bells started to ring in my head. He never did anything. really hard to describe... I never said anything either as even a wiff of something like that can ruin reputations.

i have one foot in the world of company wives and it is slightly insane. It is a whole new level of second guessing, passive aggressive bullshit sigh.
I will say though on defense of some women. The friends I have made are all great, grounded people none of the bitchness that everyone discribes here but , I don't have to be around people who don't like like me. (except the company wives)
As to the "your fat" comment HA HA HA i retort with "your MUM" It sounds like the commentor was a wee bit jealous of someone else getting some.
