Ron, I love pushing beyond the limits and constraints of rules and established norms. In my job I am constantly trying to do something new and worthwhile. However, sometimes I think I take that to the extreme. Where do you draw the line between breaking rules to do something worthwhile and being a good follower? (such as Michael Hyatt recently blogged about) Let me also say, I work for a controlling leader, could some of the response I receive about breaking norms and pushing limits simply be a result of being under his leadership? Or do I often let my desire for change overwhelm everything else? Your thoughts? There is probably an entire blog post in there. haha

I'm right there with you! Singleness presents both a unique set of challenges and opportunities. However, like you pointed out, when we take Michael Hyatt's advice and ask "What does this make possible?" it does turn the perspective positive. I find asking that question to be a huge help. Thanks for sharing. Not always an easy thing to do.

Michael, I need this book because he's right. I know beyond a shadow of a doubt that God created me to make a difference. How exactly I go about that is the struggle. My ex wife and I had a child that passed away at six weeks old. That was the first time that I knew God used me to help impact other people. However, I was simply a very very minor role in His bigger story. The difference between that single incident and what God really has planned for me was the passiveness of it versus my belief that God wants me to have an active role in making a difference. I've known for sometime that I will have a huge impact one day. I am constantly trying to keep my eye open for that opportunity, by fearful that I will miss it because of my human nature. I know that I shouldn't fear because God is big enough to make sure I know it, however, that's still easier said than done. We just finished Max's Fearless study at church, two weeks ago. I hope that this book might be able to help further point me in the direction of where I know He will take me, and perhaps be a way to let the Holy Spirit further guide me. Thanks for the post, have a great day!

Lindsey, that song gets me every time too. Along with Tower of Refuge. (I thank that's the name of it.) I understand that you're saying here. Sometimes it's hard to remember that we need not worry about how we will be able to accomplish something, whether its just a trip, or putting that trip into words. God gives us the tools we need. Just like he did Moses. But that's so much easier said than done. Why is that? At any rate I'll be praying extra hard for you during this trip. I have no doubt that God will use this trip and you to fulfill His plan. So sit back have a good safe trip and enjoy the ride! God Bless.

Looks great!!! Matt seems like the kind of person anyone would want to do business with!!!! Quick question though. . . . you started with your wordpress page right? How did you come up with the design for that? Did you use Standard Theme? Hire someone to do it? etc... Thanks for the consistently great leadership and blogs you provide!!!
