With all of the turmoil in the Muslim world, this seems like an odd way to spend 100 million dollars. Every region of the planet that is majority Muslim is a hellhole of oppression, poverty, violence and illiteracy. Women are oppressed in horrible ways. With all of that going on, why is this a priority? That's what makes me think it is a big F YOU to us. The gleaming structure that is planned as a symbol of modern Islam will is a mere facade, hiding the truth of the retrograde, 6th century mentality that is spreading extremism around the globe.

BTW, Ann can say what she will about NRO, but Steyn, Victor Davis Hanson, Andy McCarthy, Jonah Goldberg are all contributors there. Hardly sissy boys. I am a Coulter fan but she ain't right about everything, defending Steele for one. And even though I like Mitt, she defends him and he is more RINO than anything I am sorry to say. He is still defending RomenyCare, the blueprint for ObamaCare.

I don't think Frum is getting that much traffic. He has virtually no influence in the conservative community. At most, he is an object of scorn and ridicule and other sites link to him to make fun of him.

Libertarians are out to lunch on the immigration issue. Their arguments on the issue are so non-compelling and simplistic they are best ignored. To have enormous hordes of people entering the country coupled with a huge, unaffordable welfare state is catastrophic. Of course Libertarians would say we should eliminate the welfare state. Yeah, that sounds great but we know it isn't going to happen any time soon. In the meantime we don't need to be importing poverty. America does *not* have a shortage of low-skilled, undereducated people. Quite the contrary in fact, we are producing millions of home grown illiterates. Even forgetting welfare, you have to build schools and provide health care. It is a fiscal disaster.

"Yes, Michael Moore is a liar, a shameless propagandist and an anti-American leftist of the highest order. But he’s also one helluva talented filmmaker..."

Huh? What is his "talent"? Constantly lying?

Most of the "A listers" have made alot of crap movies. I prefer smaller films with good characters and dialog.
