The letter itself was a rash attempt at calling out whoopi. Whoopi like many others who find themselves in a predictament where a friend displays such callous and reckless behavior are surprised and shocked. Unfortunatelty for her, the moment was apart ofThe View and while in my opinion she was way out of line for trying to justify his actions, she was in no way different than any other person who would have stood in her shoes.
Because of that I can't judge her or say that she has color issues. She's a comedian who is known to push limits so in keeping with that I can see where and why she would come up with that idea for Black face. Was it right no.
