Talk about trying to imitate that as a kid in the early 80's.

Glen Davis' work was indefensible on radio. It was so bad when I listened to it, I would take Dellacamera and 2 Tommy Smyths to make it up. JP is underused by ESPN.
The incomplete grade on Klinsmann was warranted. ESPN could have used him more, because his observations made me understand more about how soccer is viewed around the world and how it's being viewed here in America.
One example was after the U.S./Ghana match. Jurgen pointed out that the possible reason for soccer's success outside of the U.S. is that the game is played by children that are poorer areas. Soccer in the U.S. is mostly played in middle-class suburban areas. Kids in the urban areas in America plays basketball and football for the most part, with baseball lagging in 3rd place. Hardly none of them play soccer and have no interest in it.
Masekela was a waste of time. The only redeeming part was him talking to his famous father, trumpeter Hugh Masekela about his childhood life in apartheid South Africa. Even that segment was brutal to watch because it felt disjointed. Julie Foudy tried to make up what Masekela bombed in, but to no avail. Schaap would have hit a homer with the human-interest portion of the coverage.
