2. yes, you said "if," but it's obviously the implication, otherwise it would be quite a non sequitur, no?
3. a. "Alinskyite" is not a phrase, it's a word. genius
3. b. "anyone" is singular, "themselves" is plural. genius
3. c. how does the usage of a word (sorry, "phrase") constitute "parroting right wing talking points"? I can't use the adjectival form of Alinsky without being accused of being a partisan automaton?
The fact is that Obama is making decisions of national security, i.e. troop deployments, with his 2012 re-election as the top concern/priority. I mean, he had to be dragged, kicking and screaming, to make the decision to order his own "surge," the irony of which was not lost on anyone, given his shrill and jejune criticism of Bush's "surge" in Iraq, which was politically RISKY (i.e. against his own political interests). Obama's generals, his own secretaries of defense and state, are now against this arbitrary drawing down of troop levels; I don't believe that most presidents, indeed any of his predecessors, would have been so vulgarly and cynically political in this way. There's no point in going around insulting people like me in order to deflect attention from this unavoidable fact.

2. i don't think Obama was the first president to make military decisions based on political calculations. don't put words in my naive and stupid mouth, you genius.
3. i don't have a political agenda; i am weary of people who crave power, who seek power for its own sake.
4. hurling personal insults betrays a lack of good faith. so make civilized, reasonable arguments, or leave me the F alone.
