When I was 14, I was a rural Southern Baptist delivering sermons on the eeeeeeevils of being gay.

Now I'm a staunch atheist who couldn't be more thrilled to be out and proud.

This guy's gayer than a goose. He'll be hitting all of WV's gay hot spots (snork!) when he's 18.

I ignore all that crap anyhow. Over the last several months I've noticed that I get less news from them and more from their Entertainment, Comedy and Tech sections. That doesn't mean we have to institute a full-on boycott…

You never really said why they should be avoided… What's the deal?

The "out of context" excuse has worked so many times because people never make the mental leap of asking the question "In what context WOULD that be appropriate?" Personally, I don't believe the editing in any way alters the overall views spouted by this barely-coherent and clearly uninformed sheep.

Wow, what an intellectual giant… But she's appropriately representative of the prevailing Christian mindset in America.

I have to say that I hate seeing clips like this so obviously edited because it gives the Right an opportunity to whip out their tired "You're taking it out of context" trope. Having access to an unedited version would be excellent, but I know it's often impossible.

As a native South Louisianian and an atheist, I don't quite know how to feel about this. On the one hand, I'm still super-depressed at the devastation of the oil in my wetlands (sounds like a dirty euphemism…), but on the other hand this is definitely a proportional illustration of religion as poison á la Hitchens.

Political cartoons are supposed to be thought-provoking, so mission accomplished. :-D

The deceptively simple poster above does a far superior job of capturing the spirit of "A Single Man" than the offensively straight-washed versions featuring Firth and Moore lying (literally and figuratively) together. I'm smitten with the design and regret that it wasn't used as part of a more accurate marketing campaign for an otherwise wonderful film.

This is a watershed moment in gay history. Rekers' downfall is emblematic of the open hypocrisy and base evil of the FRC and its philosophy of hate and rank deceit.

"No offense to anyone." Thanks for clearing that up; I was worried you were trying to offend both my sense of individual liberty and personal literacy. But since you said "No offense", everything you said prior is totally okay. LOL!
