RSample.com : Yet another deal, yet another loss

I think there are some fundamental differences between the parties. Problem is - those in leadership in the GOP do not want to emphasize those differences. The frustration of the rank and file Republicans - especially the Freshman - is that they were elected to change the way Washington and the party does business. These deals - both last years Super Committee and this 2-month extension - continue to take the knees right out. I am convinced that if the GOP sticks to the historic principles of less government, less taxes, strong national security, and more individual responsibility - and figure out how to get that message out - they will not only win elections, but reignite the soul of America. Ron Paul certainly walks to his own drummer - and is not afraid to be different. I cannot support him because he is an isolationist and his adherence to some core Libertarian platforms that I cannot support.

RSample.com : No – You Don’t Have The Right

Dave - 1. In our country - 18. That is when the child can vote, be drafted, and is legally responsible for debts. 2. Because they are children, the parents are responsible for overseeing their kids, and for any havoc they may cause. In this case, I think the parents should strip their children of non-school related internet, ground them until they are 35, do some sort of community service, and of course apologize to their principals, They did just the opposite - and probably condoned all the lawsuits.

Breitbart.com : Republicans \'set for big gains\' in November vote

I agree - stay on message of smaller government, reduced taxes, and individual responsibility. I do hope Boehner and other career politicians realize that the Tea Party and other conservatives are critical of all who go us into this mess - including Republicans who thought they could spend just like the Dems. Is the GOP foolish enough to try to ignore or marginalize this conservative movement?

Breitbart.com : Tea party rallies seek momentum as elections near

"It's no secret that for the past year, House Republicans and their candidates have all embraced the Tea Party and Right Wing fringe in order to win votes," Ryan Rudominer, a spokesman for the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee, said in an e-mail. "As a result, the Republican Party agenda has become the Tea Party agenda and vice versa, and that's what will be on full display this weekend at these Right Wing rallies." What the Republican party is finally waking up to is that conservatism works - both politically and - more importantly - practically. The Tea Party - at its heart - stands for smaller government, minimal taxes, and individual responsibility. Those indeed are the core values of the Republican party - at least up until a few years ago. The GOP - along with the help and guidance of the Tea Party and other conservative groups - needs to stick to these principles. So what if they are called Right Wing - we know better. So what if President Obama rains down populist hatred - people are seeing through that more and more. Stick to a conservative route - and we will see changes in 2010 - and 2012.

The unions want a guaranteed pension instead of a 401(k)? Planning for retirement is important, yes - but it is not the responsibility of companies nor the government to make it happen. Just think what would have happened if these union members had instead invested their union dues into IRAs and other sound, diversified accounts?

Big Journalism : On a Day That Will Live in Infamy, Rep. Stupak Makes History

The EO just gives Stupak and others the political cover they need. They can lay it on the president's door during the next election - claiming that they either forced the White House into complying with their wishes (if the EO is held up) or were betrayed by the leadership (if the EO is changed). Problem is - with today's new media - that kind of political move won't work.

Breitbart.com : Romney says he should have stuck to economy in \'08

Romney did not have a chance - as the media was backing McCain all through the primaries - in order to mow him down in the general elections. I do hope he runs in 2012. He would clean the floor with Obama in any debate, he is a good speaker, and fairly conservative. I also think he is quietly building his network - and is determined not to crest too quickly.

Big Journalism : Jesse Jr.'s 'Kinsley Gaffe' Moment: Obamacare means Cuts in Other Social Programs

They are doing exactly as expected. Now that the bill has passed - they can be honest about its problems - but "health care is important." I have a feeling that Democrats will be falling over themselves pointing out the deficiencies in this bill - but justifying it all by saying "it is a start."

Now the question is - will his district vote against him in the primaries - but still elect a Democrat into office? Will they elect a moderate Republican? Or, will they - as other districts should - learn from their mistakes and elect a conservative into office.

Big Journalism : Zombie ACORN, Bertha Lewis (Laughter) Vow to Fight On

This group is not going away because they organize and speak for the ignorant who do not follow the news and who do not want to know the truth. Their constituency is the "what can I get now" crowd who could care less about the laws of economics, self-pride, or the Constitution. In other words - they represent and organize exactly the type of people the Democrats need to win elections. Each "rebranded" group needs the same scrutiny that ACORN is getting now. They are betting that conservatives will soon grow tired of watching them. Will we?

Breitbart.com : FACT CHECK: Spinning the new health care law

This piece is a great example of how the AP and other media outlets have been willing assistants in passing this bill. Most of their facts are off - and misleading at best. 1. Slope towards socialism - yes, exactly started with medicare/medicaid. This is just another step. 2. Not paying for other abortions - any plan that is assisted in any way by the government means that the tax payers are paying for abortion. Why does that never compute? 3. Rejected the bill - Most Americans want healthcare reform - we just don't want this bill. 4. The CBO - they never really scored the bill - just estimates. And they did not take into effect the "Doc Fix"

Big Government : Big Labor’s Big Disappointment

But we do need to be careful. President Obama has not forgotten his promises to the Union bosses. If he cannot do it through Democratic means (Senate confirmations, etc) - then he will use other avenues to get these folks into political office. Since none of these offices are directly accountable to the people - they really are then given a great deal of power to implement a pro-union, anti-business agenda. Unions make up less than 20% of the American workforce. They are inefficient, costly, and full of thuggery - but they also have a great deal of bucks. The only way to counter them is to keep shining the light - and keep bugging our representatives to shut this juggernaut down.

Breitbart.com : California First Student Drivers Join Teamsters

I fail to see how unionizing bus drivers will increase safety. Teachers are members of unions - and in many states you have to be a member of a union in order to have a job - and our education system has gone down the tubes. Government employees are unionized - and the bureaucracy at all levels has become more dysfunctional then ever. I continue to be astounded that we give so much credence to unions - when they represent less than 20% of the American workforce.

Breitbart.com : Dems look to health vote without abortion foes

The Dems have realized that they cannot be all things to all people - especially to those within their own party. Again, the issue will not come down to a stance on abortion - but whether the politician wants to keep his or her own job. They are meeting behind closed doors again. Is that an effort to shut out the voices of the American people?

It is interesting how the AP spins this: "the support of major polluters and ecomomies such as the U.S., China and India." Yet - if one was to travel outside the US - he would find that we have one of the cleanest environments on earth. And just a side note - CO2 is not a pollutant - it is necessary to all life on earth.
