I agree. I was just being sarcastic :)
They can say stuff like that. We can't. See?
This is kind of shocking. He's not much older than I. Makes me wonder what kind of legacy I'll leave behind. His legacy is great - he helped break the back of MSM and push new media forward. He also helped give a voice to conservatives all over the country, bringing together people that might not have known other conservatives existed. Sites like Big Hollywood show everyone that we are here. He helped jump start a new counterculture in this country. RIP, man.
Super excited about this movie. I really liked all the previous films leading up to this. Thor was fun, both iron mans were exciting, captain america was a trip down memory land and The Incredible Hulk was a good action flick. I don't care about the politics of the people involved - they are not hired for their beliefs. However i Do say one conservative is worth at least 3 or 4 liberals, so the deck is hardly stacked against us :)
Yeah - The twitterverse lit up like a candle after that scene. IT was interesting... We'll see what happens in season 2 and beyond.
I rarely see a movie/tv production where sex scenes add to the plot. They are almost always gratuitous and are only there for titillation. Regardless of being against it on some kind of moral principle, that is just bad story telling in my honest opinion. Tyrion's romps do show off his character, but the series does have a weakness that many HBO series have: Something I've heard referred to as "Sexplinaton.' This, of course, is providing the audience with large chunks of exposition while people are copulating or naked on screen in someway. I think this is a bad technique that needs to die, but I love shows like Boardwalk Empire and Game of Thrones so I guess I'll just have to put up with it. Like you said I'd much rather see more actual story.
I'm a writer and have screenplays as well. I've almost been afraid to send them out, however. Mainly because if I do sell a screenplay, I don't want to see what I've written morphed in to something vulgar and debased. As script buyer put it "I don't buy bad screenplays." They just end up that way after much meddling.
well he's as good as Martin is willing to allow. You know because as much as I like his books, Martin doesn't seem to believe that good people with cunning and smarts actually exist XD. Outside of John Snow, at least.
This series is so faithful to the book... I was on pins and needles waiting to see how the audience reacted to the one pivotal scene near the end of the book/series. It is a weird experience to know that I know everything that'll happen for four years of the show before it happens, but still want to watch it.
I dunno - I'm reading the newest book right now. Daenarys is annoying me XD.
