"Right here, a quarter mile away, in Miner park... I, have been sed... sucked... twice. I've been solicited for gay sex, when I was there, spending time with Jesus..." Did Lou Engle have more fun in that park than he wanted to admit to?

How did my Google Reader miss most of this? Do you mind if I use a couple of these leads for my blog, Jason? With credit to your site, of course. Great idea, you should make this a regular feature.

The Wild Hunt : Pretending to Practice Witchcraft and other Pagan News of Note

"I note all three names of the accused seem to be East Asian. Could the overindictments reflect Canadian nativism? (Is there such a thing?) " I would assume it merely reflects the changing face of Canada, which I am strongly in favour of. We have the benefit of a rich, diverse culture due to decades of immigration. (Centuries, really, as we are all descendants of immigrants, save for First Nations Peoples)

I have come to look forward to "Pagan Community Notes", a great addition to this blog.
The Wild Hunt : Quick Note: There Are How Many Pagans?

"I think it would be good for Pagans ourselves to come up with reasonable ways of estimating how many of us there are." To what end? I fail to see what good can come of knowing a specific number. This number would only be used against us, as in "See! there's only this many, they're insignificant." Or, to fuel the "world's going to hell in a handbasket" mentality. As for a list of beliefs and practices...

The Wild Hunt : Paganism, Magic, and Witchcraft: It's Academic

The Wild Hunt : Hinduism, Indo-Paganism, and Cultural Appropriation

Very good article. You're right, I love Kali, but haven't a clue how to worship such a complex deity. Here in Canada, the most prominent living tradition is that of the First Nations (Aboriginal) People. I have been welcomed in Sweat-Lodges, Sun Dances and many other Aboriginal rituals, and have always found people extremely helpful and forgiving when I asked or screwed up. I've found that if you are sincerely respectful, most people are enthusiastic to share and teach. After all, the purpose of acquiring this knowledge is to share it. Thanks for the links... I'm off to learn!

The Wild Hunt : A Pagan's Guide to the Oscars

Yes, can't wait for Agora. But can't find a release date, other than "everywhere else"! Jason has mentioned this film at ADSO Pagan. Official site is http://www.agorathemovie.com/ . Trailer looks good.

The Wild Hunt : First They Came for the Swingers

Dan, years ago I had the pleasure of talking to a very elderly woman who described what she remembered of the "London Blitz." Her parents, and almost everyone else were shocked that this could happen, as all of England believed that Germany was not a formidable force. To her, the sky really was falling...for 57 days straight! I know this example is extreme, but the lessons of history should never be ignored. Never under estimate the power of hate.
