hey Charli, good to see you here! Thanks for sharing your thoughts, I'm glad you feel the same. Two years is a long time to be on the road and it's good to know you're excited about going home. When we used to go on extended trips, we always ended up being depressed to be home even though we were initially happy to be home. With this new semi-nomadic lifestyle, it works out perfectly for us since we know we'll be off somewhere exciting again soon!

aha! India can be tough, even for the most seasoned travelers. I hear your pain but glad you enjoyed what the hike offered!

Thanks Katka for the very kind and well-written comment. I do agree that it is best to visit these places without forming any solid and biased opinion. During our visit, there was a fellow traveler who was trying to push her opinions on us and we didnt like that. You're right in saying that if everyone kept a neutral stand, Israel and many other Middle Eastern countries would do much better in terms of tourism.

I don't think I got it wrong. We learnt that from our Israeli tour guides and friends. Like Katka said below, we prefer not to enter a discussion of this sort and maintain a neutral ground. We absolutely loved our time in Israel and wish more people can go see it for themselves without forming any political opinions.

I was definitely nervous when the current was sweeping me away, but we were really lucky to be diving with these experienced and patient folks!
