MRZine :

This is a robust, thorough, and compelling deconstruction of the lies told by the "authorities" on Rwanda, some of whom have hitherto been revered and lauded as virtual heroes. It also provides us with a close up view of how orthodoxy works, and how orthodoxy screams when what it would like to ram down everyone's throats as unquestionable truths, is instead opened to question. The richest irony of all: those shrieking about "genocide denial," are themselves denying genocide and advancing the cause of a malevolent dictatorship that represents a minority. They would hope that you would aid us all in forgetting, so that we can then move on the next, then the next, then the next cause of humanitarian imperialism and its savage destruction of whole nations in the name of "human rights".

http://trinidadexpress.com/ : PM: No plan for US military base in T&T | Trinidad Express Newspaper | News

Please note the double-talk in this piece: "No provision has been made or contemplated for the establishment of a military base," followed by, "the agreement governs the temporary presence of US military/defence personnel in Trinidad and Tobago." Same difference. Basing can be temporary, and it can be temporary over such an extended period of time that it is virtually permanent, but with the added "bonus" that the host nation pays for the facilities used by U.S. personnel. As said elsewhere, before *all* comments were deleted by the Express, there is never any need for a SOFA when there is no plan to station U.S. military and intelligence personnel in another nation. Moreover, these agreements routinely offer U.S. troops complete immunity from local prosecution, even for extraordinary crimes such as rape and mass murder, with the result that when they are tried in the U.S. they are either acquitted or given very light sentences. Trinidad's proximity to Venezuela is a critical factor here, especially as the U.S. has refused to recognize Venezuela's elected government and is trying a range of covert destabilization efforts. There is ZERO chance that Trinidad will not be used for such purposes--it would be entirely illogical and unforgivably naive to even think so. I hope Trinidadians fight back to preserve the integrity and dignity of their nation.

http://trinidadexpress.com/ : T&T, US renew SOFA | Trinidad Express Newspaper | News

You would especially need a SOFA if you have plans for locating a U.S. military installation in a country. Trinidadians should be asking if the plan is to see their country used as a base for covert U.S. military and intelligence operations against Venezuela, and should at the very least be protesting to demand accountability.

http://trinidadexpress.com/ : A home for the Caribs | Trinidad Express Newspaper | Featured News

DNA may show something about ancestry, but it tells you nothing about cultural identity (which is not a biological construct). Given the harvesting of biometric data by U.S. universities with research ties to the Pentagon, there is always the risk that this information could be put to uses of which the Caribs are unaware. Personally, I would have advised strongly against succumbing to this technology, and to this inexplicable desire to "prove" themselves when they achieved recognition at an official level, decades ago.

Antiwar.com Original Articles : Militarism Is Not Patriotism

"for the most part, permanent U.S. military meddling abroad was avoided until after World War II" Absolutely incorrect. This author needs to read more history, especially about the U.S. and Latin America. The correct statement would have been: for the most, permanent U.S. military meddling abroad was founded on a long history of invasions, occupations, and coups brought about by the U.S. in Latin America.

You see, Tyler520, sometimes it's useful to simply keep your mouth shut, rather than be exposed for a fool. Let's take...you...as an example. In your little episode of mouth foaming above, you made the mistake of providing me with a basis for your self-description: "one of the most vile, disgusting people on the net...shallow, angry hypocritical human being...your life calling is a community college teacher". VILE, DISGUSTING -- and here is Tyler520 posting: "That guy needs a good ‘ol fashioned curb stompin’" "I do not recall hearing this bitch open her mouth" "Bill Maher, you probably don’t remember me; I caught you with your tongue up Obama’s asshole while he was snorting coke in the Penn Station bathroom - but anyway, here is a joke for you: roses are red, violets are blue, I’ll fuck you with a chainsaw" ANGRY -- Tyler520: "I really hope something goes “terribly wrong” and they wipe themselves off the face of the planet so we do not have to deal with their $h!t anymore." "There is a reason I will never patronize a business in New York that is owned and/or operated by Muslims" "I first thought it might be a couple of ragheads" [so Tyler520 is also a bit of a racist idiot] SHALLOW -- Tyler 520: "Mr. Obama’s administration has realized the potential for manipulating our laws to fit their [sic] Marxist agenda" Not at all "shallow," when "favouriting" a pic of Brittney Spears in StumbleUpon. Eh Tyler520? Quite the digital slime trail you leave. One of his favourite songs is titled "Heavy Trash" -- possibly the title reminds him of himself. HYPOCRITICAL: "There is no beneficial value to pot or the legalization of it. It is not medicine. Inhaling a carcinogen of any kind is harmful, and claiming “it doesn’t harm anyone” is a misnomer, as people who use this argument willingly omit the fact that people high on pot significantly contribute to accidents due to their inebriation. Suicide rates are also directly linked to pot use" ...and yet, there is the same Tyler520, going online to shop for his little home hydroponics kit...oh yes, it must be for his "daisies". "How long will this motherfucker keep taking credit" ...but then, arguing with someone else...""Fuck You"…such intellectual vocabulary – surely, you now have my sympathy…simian" Listen to this America-lover: "lets just hope the “Big One” hits soon and sinks California, Oregon and Washingon" (great speller too, he gets Washington wrong) YOUR LIFE CALLING: Funny that Tyler520 should think so little of himself that he needs to try to diminish the accomplishments of others. Here he jokes of a tenured professor at a large university in a large urban center, but provides no indication of his own accomplishments, or level of education (apart from his barbaric posts above). I wonder why. Is it because Tyler520 is nothing more than an unemployed lounge lizard who occupies his time with sweaty, double-chinned rants as the self-appointed guardian of right wing blogs? See, Tyler520, how STUPID I just made you look, and with your own words? That's why I said sometimes it's better to just shut up, because now, no matter what you say in response, you will look like a loser, trying to regain ground that has been lost permanently. Thank you for this opportunity, I took great delight in your demolition.

No, not from what I see. But really, do keep flattering yourself, and try on some new stereotypes while you are at it: there are only 10 million other Americans out there with bald eagle avatars and a name that's a variation on "Wild Bill". You'll need a better imagination than that before you take me on, son.

You're right, your message was indeed coming from 'one of the most vile, disgusting people on the net," speaking about yourself clearly. You spew such venom, that clearly any form of rational thought is entirely beyond you. I don't despise creatures such as yourself, I just wish you would find some humans to adopt you and provide you with caring and warm shelter, rather than the obviously abusive environment in which you are forced to subsist. Back to the facts: the author of this article has misrepresented that which he claims to be quoting. It's fine if he keeps the link to my post, anyone going there will see exactly how foolish he was to link to it, since it flatly contradicts him. Oh yes, almost forgot: "Tyler" you're an idiot and a coward. As for community college, you have not the vaguest idea of what you are talking about...because academia is far beyond you as well. Moron.

I have no idea as to why you link to my piece, if anything it contradicts your spurious allegations...if you actually read it, and tried not so hard to filter out everything that does not agree with your chosen slant. I have my own disagreements with Pelton, much sharper differences of view than I see here, but I closely followed this BS of supposed threats, and found the person making the allegations to be a highly unstable, totally mendacious, irascible mil-blogger who attacks anyone and everyone he disagrees with from the safety of his anonymous blog. As a matter of fact, Old Blue was called out by Pelton on numerous occasions, and failed each time to defend his assertions about Pelton, and I personally witnessed a protracted exchange between the two in Pelton's Black Flag Cafe, where Old Blue looked ever more foolish with each new rant he posted. To say that you have grossly misrepresented the matter is to be polite and understated. You should really examine yourself and have the courage to put your assumptions to a serious test. if I were you, I would be deeply embarrassed for having published such a piece online.
