As a handful of people pointed out on Twitter, I should be second based on this list (@neilcocker - 63), but it seems that Klout doesn't list by city anyway, so putting an article like this together would have been fraught with difficulty.
Having said that, looking at social influence by region alone is also nearly impossible. @huwstephens (65) should definitely be on this list, but whether all his tweets are *relevant* (as touched upon by @lordlucan) to the people of Cardiff is questionable. He's a UK-wide radio DJ (and rightly so!), but rarely posts about Cardiff.
But if we're just looking at "celebrity" (i.e. lots of followers, lots of influence), then relevance to Cardiff has little to do with it. If that's the only marker then @GdnCardiff & @WalesOnline should be at the top, regardless of their Klout scores.
Newport social media trainer Joel Hughes has written interestingly about this topic a number of times. e.g. http://www.joelhughes.com/clobbering-klout
Thanks for starting the debate. I think "Social Influence" will be a really hot topic in coming years.

A clique is defined by it's exclusivity. Ignite Cardiff is exactly the opposite, as Carl highlighted above.
The funny thing about this so-called clique (as with most others that are wrongly labelled as such) is that anyone who asks to be part of it will be welcomed with open arms. There's no membership. Just turn up and get involved. Or ask if you can participate in any way. We're *always* open to new people being involved. And if anyone wants to drop us a line on ignitecardiff +at+ gmail.com, we'd love to hear from you.
I would genuinely like to know what you mean by "attacked via cowardly techniques". Sounds very sinister to me.
