Ok you got me on that quiz! I love to think I'm pretty self-aware, but if someone honestly assesses me I feel pretty threatened...

All though I don't mind people making fun of me, or even making fun of myself, if it's a quirk that I'm ok with being made fun of. does that make sense?

Although I totally agree with you here. I also respect people that can laugh at themselves too (i.e.... I loved the video you and tyler did for catalyst with Don Miller! That was funny! And I respect that he can poke fun of himself).

Yay! I can't wait for this to release. My husband and I are huge fans of Dave Ramsey's ministry and of your work. Both of them combined...it's got to be amazing!

well, I guess in a sense what I wrote was out of the excitement over this post and how it relates to me. My first sentence in the last paragraph isn't really what i meant (i.e. the church isn't the best place all the time). The last sentence, however, puts it better... that it "should" be the best place... like you said.

Yes to the first two questions. In fact, the first date that my wife went on before we ever started officially being b/f-g/f. I took her to the children's Christmas program at the church we attendeed in college... we went to dinner afterwards. I can't lie (and she can't either) it was pretty smooth!

Also my first g/f was a girl that I had grown up in church with (it was an 8th grade romance).

And to the last question! I think the church is the best place to pick up a date (for Christians). However, you chouldn't go to church just to pick up a date. I'm just saying that if you want a good Christian b/f or g/f there should be no better place to find one.

My husband and I completely agree with what you've written. Some of our really close friends got married in May and talked with them a ton about sex in the months leading up to their marriage (he'd talk to the guy, and I'd talk to the girl btw). There was a lady who talked super openly with me about it when we were engaged, and we wanted to be able to do the same for our friends. Oh--and the girl and I still talk about it sometimes. Sex is such an amazing gift, and I hate that it's become such a taboo topic for Christians.

And if you're looking for a good, Christian sex book, "Sheet Music" is great.

That's awesome! I'm [hopefully] going to be leaving my job soon, and this is WAY more creative than anything I could come up with.

This is such a great post! I believe that wholeheartedly. Sure, sometimes it will still be REALLY hard, but I believe God wants us to serve Him in an area that we're passionate about. And then it doesn't really feel like work. When you're doing something you love (and that God has gifted you for and called you to), you couldn't imagine yourself ever doing anything else. THAT is a light burden.

My mom bought me one of my favorite childhood books for one of my "stocking stuffers" (yes, we all still get stockings) last year and it was even smaller than that! She said she cracked up when she got it in the mail. Half the pages were missing, and it could literally cover less than my palm. It was definitely "American Girl sized".
