Bronx Baseball Daily : Trade Rumors: Yankees decline trade request for Cole Hamels

Where does Romine come into play here? No one's interested in him, curious that he's even being mentioned in discussions like these. Also, I completely agree with Cashman's stance on Judge and Severino. They are untouchable and should remain that way. It's highly likely that both of them will play a large role with the big club next season and for years to come.

Bronx Baseball Daily : BBDP August 28th: Extra innings galore!

Mason Williams has really looked over matched in Trenton. His defense has been spectacular, but he's struck out a bunch and just does not look ready for AA. I think it was a hasty move calling him up this year after Austin and Heathcott went down. Hopefully this doesn't have a long-term impact on his confidence. So far, I haven't been overly impressed with Sanchez, but he has shown good signs. He still has a lot of work to do on defense, regardless of what has been said. The amount of balls he's let by him and foul tips he hasn't held on to are just unacceptable. He has shown a very solid arm and ability to read situations very well though. On the bright side, Venditte has looked very good for the Thunder. He throws a little harder right handed, but throws really good sliders from both sides and has been impressive in big situations. He looks like he may be able to defy the odds and contribute at the big league level someday.

Bronx Baseball Daily : 2013 Post-Draft BBD Top 50 Prospects

I think that Danny Burawa could be close to contributing in the bullpen at some point. Then again, with all the righty relievers in the organization he could end up spending all of next season in AAA.

I could see Matt Diaz being a nice fit. Good role player, can play decent outfield in the corners, hits for average, and seems like a good clubhouse guy.

Wow surprisingly good solution, never thought of that. Jeter would play a solid (not outstanding) third. Nunez would cover a lot of ground at short and eventually he's bound to stop booting the ball as much. Then you've got A-Rod at permanent DH. Way less chance he gets injured and he can focus on just his swing. Seems like a perfect solution. If only the Yanks weren't scared to try an unconventional approach to fielding a team every once in a while.

Bronx Baseball Daily : BBDP May 18th: O'Brien debuts for Trenton, Allen continues domination of Low-A

Cervellis hitting .222 with one homer at AAA and you stand up and say he looks better than both catchers at the major league level. C'mon man, that's not close to true. I'm sure you could try to make an argument offensively, but it would eventually fail. Martin will come out of his slump eventually, and his OBP is actually not even bad right now. Defensively, there's no way that Cervelli is as good as Stewart. Stewart has looked great behind the plate, and his catcher's ERA is less than 2.50. Cervelli is no way better for the team than either of them.
