Without descending into angry rants, I'll just say this sequel left me disappointed. What I loved about the show and the original film -- the chemistry of this foursome -- is mostly gone in "Sex and the City 2" unless you count the karaoke scene or Charlotte and Miranda's frank and very funny discussion about the trials of motherhood. Plus, the focus on the fashion overpowered the storyline, probably because there wasn't much of one to begin with. And something about Samantha's outright disrespect for Muslim culture didn't sit right with me. I'm no fuddy-duddy or prude, but a handjob in a restaurant where conservative Muslims are eating? Really.

Oh well ... maybe I'll just go back and watch the original again and pretend that's where it ended! :)

I am righteously opposed to this sequel; I cannot see it on principle. And I'm still miffed that Peter Dinklage agreed to do it. I hate that there are so few parts available he has to do this.

Things I hate on principle about the remake:

1) James Marsden is NOT Alan Tudyk. Not even close, dudes.
2) There is no British humor. British humor rocks.
3) It will not contain my very favorite line: "Tea can do many things, Jane, but it can't bring back the dead."

If I lived anywhere near you, I'd so be there!
