I can't stand the scent of raw fish, so that scene makes me feel slightly ill. >.< The concept is certainly cute though :)

Economy of movement always makes for lovely animation aesthetics, and no predator exemplifies it better than the cat :)

I imagine it'd be damn hard to do 3D animation with digital paintings :P The film suffers a bit from historical conventions of the genre but it still works pretty well.

I have, yes :) It's an interesting analysis. I think it's important to remember that people are not static, though, especially young people. My father's past is certainly relevant, but it shouldn't be taken as the complete definition of his current character and behaviour.
