I'm not currently running Skada, but still using Recount. That said, the other day I was doing Ahune, and at the end of the run my tank friend told me I had out-dpsed the Mage and Hunter in our group while healing. My Recount showed only that I had pulled ahead of the Hunter. There was about a 400 dps difference between what his Skada said and what my Recount said. He attributed this to the fact that Skada doesn't start recording until he starts attacking, but he was the tank, and I know he did first damage.

I'm not sure what all of this means, but I'd certainly like more information so I can use the addon that is more accurate.

Its the same stats except substitute hit for crit. Definitely not worth the gold.

I'll say a little prayer to the goddess of RNG for you. :)

I am with you on the not having rez thing. I ran a Deadmines with my lil resto druid healing. I ended up faceplanting in the room with the ramp and the billion goblins. Neither the prot nor the ret paladin who survived had done their rez quest. I hate running back to my body in that dungeon!

I can forgive missing buffs, especially at 80 in heroics, especially if everyone out-gears the instance. It is less forgivable at lower level because those buffs can really make a difference. I always buff, even if I'm running to keep up. If the group wants an oom healer, that's their problem. ~wicked grin~

People who pull ahead of the tank definitely needs to be on the list. I actually had a hunter argue with a warrior tank the other day that he is actually helping. If he pulls and gets a bunch of aggro the tank can taunt off of him and thereby instantly get the same amount of aggro. Forget the part about everyone having to stop dpsing at that point so the tank can keep the aggro, if he can without any rage. ~shakes head~

Vid,

Out of curiosity, did you ever use Healbot? I ask because I use Healbot, but I've heard Grid/Clique or VuhDo is better, and I like the way they look a bit better. However, I'm not very good at figuring out addons. I'd like to give one or the other a try, but I'm terrified of making the change. Any advice? Should I just stick with Healbot, since it's so easy to use?

Many thanks,
Ama

Can't tell you how many times I've gotten into arguments with people because they had to spend their hard earned gold buying mats for the enchants, so they should not have to "tip" when the enchant is actually applied. Their reasoning is that the enchanter "didn't do anything." ~grumble didn't do anything! i only did the thing you didn't do which is level the profession grumble~ Anyway, the cost of enchanting mats on the AH is directly related to us greedy enchanters marking up prices anyway, right? I only do enchants for friends and guildies now. The drama from these kind of arguments just got to be too much.

What frustrates me more than anything is that I don't make any money on enchanting anymore. The only rare enchant now is Bladeward, and there's not that many people who want it. Back in my day, I ran Kara 100 times to get my formula for Mongoose, and people damn well paid for their enchants back then and didn't complain about it. Stupid enchanting! If I could take it all back (without any of the work of reskilling a profession) I'd be a jewelcrafter.

I'm with Eus here. I've found when it's good, it's really good; and when it's bad, it's really bad. The good thing that has come of this is that I've been making friends across realms and finding a good group to spend time with, the only downfall is that I have to reroll on a different realm.

Overall, I am thankful for it. It was torture trying to get groups for low level dungeons prior to this. I'm not one for boosting at all, so I really struggled when trying to make a group for lowbies, one of my friends would say, "I'll just run you through." I just wanted to scream at them, but goodness, how ungrateful would that appear?
