Listen I did not ASK the government to take unemployment insurance out of my paycheck check NOR did I ask for them to take out SS or MEDICARE.. HOWEVER the government still takes it out of an individual's check and if they pay in for 30 plus years and die before they collect AGAIN the government gets to keep the money.. just like they do with paid in unemployment from an individual that pays in and never collects..Where you came up with how can you calculate how much you paid in as to how long you can SLACK OFF.. I am sure most that are SLACKING OFF as you put it would rather be at work since you only get 47% I believe of your pay and it's taxable.. and most people use at least 80% of their pay to make ends meet.. I personally did not put the system in place..
