When I first saw the title to this list I thought 'great, another list that I'll have no idea what's going on in'. But as soon as I read some of the first few types of scales I realized I knew about them, I just never thought of them specifically as 'scales'. I had never heard of the Forel-Ule Scale, which i find quite interesting, I'd like to find out how that one works! Great list, very unexpected!

First of all Happy Birthday, you share this fantastic day with Jeff Hardy, so now I get to celebrate for two.
Great list. I was going to roast you for choosing the 300C as your runner up car. It can't touch the Bentley! But then you wrote that you have one so that is your saving grace! Your choice of actors are great and I completely agree with all that you have chosen. I think we'd get along famously in the movie department.

Fantastic list. I've been following the Holloway case since it was brought into public knowledge. It's been so awful and all I'd want is for the family to find peace and be able to bring their daughters body home. I also remember watching an hour long type documentary on the organization who brings cyber predators to the court system (I'm not sure if it was To Catch a Predator or not) but I found all of that quite interesting. Whether or not the ethics are in place is one thing but knowing that there are children who meet people everyday off of the internet is quite daunting and I'm glad, even for a little while, there's a group to counter act this brings a little peace to my mind. My kids will never be allowed on the internet :P

The only one I have read in this list is Narnia. I read it when I was quite young and so I didn't see the symbolism in it until the movie came out. It is quite clear of the Jesus-Aslan connection as his death in the movie is quite the rip-off of Jesus' execution. Edmund's death for betraying Aslan/Judas betraying Jesus. And The White Witch would be the parallel of Satan. There is a great paper dealing with this subject: http://cslewis.drzeus.net/papers/success.html

I loved number 10 about the blue and silver costuming. That definitely grabbed my attention into a list I wasn't sure I was going to enjoy. This list was very well written, so kudos to the submitter. I had heard of a few (light on stage, break a leg, and even Macbeth) but the others I was completely not familiar with. I especially liked the no mirrors on stage and the graveyard flowers. It makes me wonder how many contemporary theatres still believe in these superstitions.

What about HST in Canada? I'm still unsure why I'm paying this damn new tax... It must have something to do with 2012...

I'm the smallest soccer fan in this world... but I quickly scrolled threw, saw Celtic and Rangers and just had to go back to actually read the list. It's crazy that rivalries in sports are almost like rivalries in countries/regions and in general just politics.

If you have a good idea for a list that is better than the ones being presented, why don't you do your own submission.
