I don't really watch any summer TV, let alone trashy summer TV. But I did watch part of the Bachelorette finale with a friend. So let's say that.
I never reviewed White Teeth, but I didn't like it nearly as much as On Beauty. I was sorry I had read them in that order . . . if I had read White Teeth first, I would have appreciated it more. I just finished her book of essays and there were a few that were too dense for me this weekend, but overall I liked it a lot.
Maybe boring isn't the right word. But I didn't care. The whole middle part. Just didn't care. I'm really glad my students like it, but it was not for me.
I have only read The Lightning Thief but not the rest of the series because it was SO BORING. (I have very little patience for setup.) I hear the rest of them are better. Mike bought this one, but I don't know if I am going to read it.
