I think it's amazing that with all the films I saw this year, I haven't seen half of the ones you list here because they just didn't open in Austria (yet?). Frustrating.
But I took note of all of them and will try to catch the ones I haven't seen yet.

Having finally seen this film, all I can say is: HELL YES to everything you pointed out. I would even stick with the point about the surgery thing, because, honestly, even if it was meant exclusively for Weyland (which seems quite obviously the point), if it's not a machine specialized in prostate exams or testicles and penises, there is really not much of a reason why it shouldn't be able to operate on women, too. I would say that it probably has room enough on its harddrive for two settings, even. (Also, it's a magical operating machine that can do everything on its own, except for anasthesia? WTF?)

I came out of the film and ranted for half an hour straight about it. Gah.

I'd totally come if I wasn't so completely broke.

As soon as I start playing the lottery, then winning, I'll be there.

Fair enough. I'd just like to try one first before I order it - and so far, I haven't had the possibility to see one in the wild yet, let alone touch one. :)

Sounds interesting. I'll see if I can catch it.

John Krasinski is great, in any case.
