Will this work on the HTC HD2?

Good insight. The idea of Apple building a TV that has a premium price misses the fact that great TVs from Sony and Samsung are under $900 already. Apple could buy them wholesale (display, guts, etc.) for as little as what they pay for an iPad from either Sony or Samsung. A $1,000 Apple TV would not be premium purchase within the context of an Apple store. It would be a great deal.

Also, you missed the point that Google is paving the way for Apple to launch an HTML5 version of Apple TV / iTunes within the Google TV platform. Why do you think the Lala purchase was so meaningful for Apple? The Team knows how to present, stream and sell media via the web. Why would you build TVs if Google is going to spend its Blood and Treasure to pave the way. Just build the best TV app (iTunes for TV) and Steve wins again...
