The thing is that I'm just too proud of myself for what I have accomplished and through my own means and methods. I have been able to successfully (or somewhat successfully) complete all of the medical aspects of transition without having to step into a therapist's office. I made this choice because (1) it is insulting to assume that I need therapy just because I am trans and (2) it is insulting to assume that because I'm trans, I can't make my own decision, so I need the permission of two other people in order to get the necessary medical care that I need. I know only one other medical procedure that is so needlessly and illogically restricted and that would be abortion.
