Jeff Sebring : Thesis Master Custom Stylesheet for WordPress Multisite Networks

That's why I use w3 Total Cache from Frederick Townes. You can minify and combine stylesheets and javascript files, even serve them from a CDN.

Jeff Sebring : Ultra Blog Search Ping Service List for 2011

Pinging is separate from the WordPress theme. Install the cbnet Ping Optimizer, enter the ping list, and set your Pinging settings. This doesn't require any coding. It should just take a couple minutes.

Jeff Sebring : WordPress Custom Field YouTube Video Player in Thesis Feature Box

Did you add the code to your functions file? Make sure you are using the right name and value. Using only the video ID in the value field, not the whole url. It could be modified to parse out the rest of the URL, but that would take some regex, and it's easy enough to just use the ID.

Wordpress and Thesis : How to install Wordpress Multisite in Bluehost

A great use for it is development. Just use subdirectories and you don't have to worry about wildcard domains, Unless there is a reason you want to use subdomains.

I prefer to use subdirectories for most multisite uses, but this is a nice guide for subdomains. Some hosts seem to need to enable wildcard domains. Maybe for those using a different host this may help.

Jeff Sebring : WordPress Custom Field YouTube Video Player in Thesis Feature Box

Lauren, The first time you use a custom field, you need to click "Enter New", under the drop down for the custom field name. For this custom field, type "tube". In the "value" text box to the right, paste the id for the video. Click the "Add Custom Field" button, and you're done! Custom fields are basically key(name) - value(value . . ) pairs. The php you paste into your custom_functions file tells WordPress to print YouTube embed code into the feature box if a value for the custom field with the name "tube" exists. It uses the YouTube ID you paste at the end of the url within the embed to select the video. Let me know how this works for you.

Meekish, Yes, they would, however I have a feeling any new Thesis versions will not require the modification. Thesis updates seem to be fairly complete, so I really don't think a second modification will be needed. Most likely there will be a check box or something in the UI to turn it on or off. This is all speculation on my part, but even if I'm wrong the mod isn't really that tedious.

Jeff Sebring : About.me Social Profile Review

Yea, I do think it shows some promise though. I set mine up today, and it's already page one for my name, above quite a few pages that mention me. Of course I did link to from the authority domain for my name, this one, so I'm sure that may have had some impact. I think the random profile button is kind of interesting from an SEO standpoint, sending juice across the site randomly when the pages are crawled. It's pretty obvious that they have built it with rankings in mind, but like you say it's very early and how well the pages will do for more common names, like ones shared with celebrities remains to be seen.
