Time to edit the article, they officially cancelled this plan without getting a real idea how people feel about it. Not everyone in West Seattle was complaining about the BIRDS. Some people wanted to enjoy the park and were hoping this would go through. It didn't stand the chance and I for one am disappointed.

While the meeting had been planned, this aspect of it just kind of happened much sooner. So, a lot of people weren't able to make it. I'm hoping for more advertising for future meetings so people on both sides have the opportunity to speak.

Then don't do the zip line! Go play on swings! Go hug a tree! Go do something else! There's a WHOLE PARK to enjoy. People are loud, and they will be no matter what. You can't live in a bubble unless you build one for yourself.

Those are the questions we need answered, for sure. Everyone's screaming about cost to themselves when they probably already have coverage. Those who will actually benefit are being drowned out.

Yeah, and I pay EXTRA for my car insurance just in case some jerk w/o car insurance hits me and I won't have to foot the whole bill.

People with health insurance are healthier, and allowing them to pay their bills brings the cost down for everyone. Everyone is free, everyone is brave, and now nearly everyone can live healthier.

Only in Seattle is a new sports team better than keeping jobs and making traffic manageable. The port brings in a lot of money to the city, bandwagon basketball fans don't. Why don't we improve roads, get Metro to a good place, THEN think about another sports team. Better yet, let's get some of the roads BEING WORKED ON NOW finished before we throw yet more construction down there.

THIS is why you read the bills before you vote on them. I didn't like this one as much as one of the ones last year, but everyone demanded their 'cheap' booze.

If they require after-tax prices on liquor, they should do it for everything. If you don't know what tax rates you're paying, you are an uninformed consumer. Costco put up a little sign in their aisles. Other stores can do that and call it good.
